True Alchemy & 2012

I am amazed at the wide range of materials that have and continue to emerge around the topic of 2012. From cataclysms to utopic ascensions everyone has something to say about the subject. What I find most interesting and important about 2012 is what is being left out of the main discussions by ‘experts’ who proclaim the ‘truths’ of torus energy fields and galactic alignments. And the main factor left out is you and what is going on inside of you.

The subject of 2012 itself is forming a microcosm of where we are as a species on this planet. You have these same ideas or memes being carried throughout the society in many areas and they form the same themes at the 2012 trough. You have the doomsdayers and the ascenionites, the Illuminati and the Celstial Hierarchies. There are so many stories being spun and so many facts being touted. It’s as if so many people think they know exactly what’s going to happen on December 21st 2012 it makes me want to just place my order now as if I was ordering Christmas presents online in July. If none of our millions of years of human history could have been predicted then *finally* we now know what is going to occur just around the corner. But I believe life enjoys a surprise more than that.

So I do find it more than slightly beguiling and disingenuous for some many people to be making a buck on 2012 spinning their own expert opinions. And this takes us to what separates the dross of human history from the truly golden potential. It occurred to me that what separates the voices out there is whether they care about orienting this important process within your experience. I mean you who is reading this right now. How do you relate to 2012? Most of the stuff out there is mute on this topic.

I wonder whether most people watching these 2012 videos and reading these books on ‘toruses’, ‘lightbodies’, ‘wormholes’, ‘galactic alignment’ and so on realize that these things are empty facts, if they are even true at all. You can talk about *what* alignment and alchemy are but unless you are helping someone know *how* to do it, unless you are bringing them into the direct experience, you are wasting their time. And if you are the listener then it’s *your* time and energy that are being wasted.

Please understand, I am saying that the majority of recent human history, especially in the West, has spent it’s time in storing, reciting, and inculturating often worthless facts. The mind feeds on these facts. But the heart, and if you will, the soul, are not nourished. Even with our LCD monitors and various artifacts of the American Dream we are largely a spiritually impoverished folk. And spiritual poverty is the result when a life is void of genuine direct experience. (And forgive me but the more TV and 2012 videos you watch the less real experience you are having. Those are virtual experiences and nothing virtual can feed your body or soul.)

Regarding 2012 the real magic and potential of change lies within those who are endeavoring to live the change, to be the change, to embody the change. The energies of East and West have been merging back into balance very strongly since the end of the 19th century. This blending of energy has been a large driver of change in the West. The emergence of yoga, meditation, and the martial arts since the 1960s is more evidence of the conveyances of experience re-entering the closets stuffed with facts of the Western Mind.

If you pass through this time and 2012 just thinking that it is an event happening outside of you then you are missing 99.99% of what is really going on. If someone comes to you bearing volumes of facts rather than helping you to redirect to your inner truth then that person is carrying the old paradigm that we are leaving. Yes, you can carry the old paradigm of facts collected from transmissions from Arcturus or channeled from Abraham or RA. Or you can bring forward something of the new alignment.

The new alignment, the new phase, is one of embodiment. It is through embodiment that the spiritual impulses behind the creation of the universe find their fulfillment in the human form. The old way is factual and of the head. The new way is experiential and is the symbol of the integrated body-mind, the heart.

The foundation of this new way, which is the ancient way, is a healthy body. If you want to align yourself with 2012 you need to take care of your body. Stop smoking, lose weight, exercise, eat sensibly, and consider becoming a vegetarian. Eating meat is an increasingly risky venture. And the amount of energy, water, and food, it takes to make one pound of meat is out of balance with the rest of the needs of the planet given our huge numbers.

Upon this physical foundation add an integrative physical exercise such as yoga, pilates, QiGong, Aikido or Tai Chi. These forms of movement, and others, are aware of the multiple levels of human existence and know how to facilitate your integration. Personally I find QiGong and yoga amount the most profound experiences in body movement.

If you really want to get into the flow of where I think we are headed then tune deeper into prayer, meditation, awareness, slow walking in nature, music, or whatever really tunes you into yourself and to nature. Personally I have been taking different ambient music with spoken word together in the same track. This really is a powerful way for me to tune into the cosmic meaning of the spoken words.

Try to have a regular time for contemplation and internal exercise at least 3 minutes every day and 15 minutes once a week. My own experience is that innerscapes that I have been working with for years have opened up in depth and intensity in the past 18-24 months.

Most people already know about simplifying their lives. Clean out those old closets. Reevaluate how your spend money, where you drive, what you consume, and who you spend time with. Very often once you start oriented your life to the inner many of these outer areas will start changing at the same time.

True transformation, true alchemy, is not about changing lead into gold. It's about bring more presence, more awareness, into every moment of your life. True alchemy is about being the best person you can be.

In closing remember that 2012 is an opportunity to change your life. It does not have to be cataclysm and it may not be utopia or the start of the next golden age. But it is an opportunity to grow. And it may be one of the best opportunities for transformation in a long time. The collective energy in the human field of so many people anticipating positive change is fuel to support your co-development. And remember that any growth that you experience, any tingling that you feel, any insight, benefits not just you, but the entire human organism. That coming together, inwardly and outwardly, is one of the highest potentials that 2012 has to offer.

Inspiration And The Mythic Earth

The Levant is an area of the eastern Mediterranean streaching down from the Taurus mountains down through the Arabian peninsula. In the time before the rise of Christianity this area was home to an ancient wisdom tradition known to themselves as the Telestae. They were later called the Gnostics by outsiders as a term of derision.

The Telestae (the ones who aim) hold a sacred myth about the origin of the earth. The Telestae hold that the collective realm of spiritual beings who are responsible for the generation of life is called the pleroma. They believe that at the center of each galaxy are creative beings called aeons. These aeons are paired in dyads of spiritual beings, female and male. In our own particular galaxy the aeons included the female aeon Sophia (being widsom) and the male aeon Christos (being annointing) who were responsible for the generation and support of life. (And of note Sophia was the last aeon created.)

The aeons Sophia and the Christos were participating in the generation of a unique spiritual being named the Anthropos. While this process was underway Sophia underwent a transformation that was unexpected. And Sophia's journey also leads to a Tiwa holy man who carries from his culture resonances that match Sophias sacred trek.

Joseph Rael is a Tiwa holy man. As a child Joseph, while learning multiple languages, including Tiwa, English, and Spanish, began to understand the varities of human language through their shared core vibrations. This developing understanding was supported by the Tiwa language which itself embodies very strong energetic and mystical meanings. If you look into the teaching of the Tiwa through Joseph's books, you will see that what occurrs to Sophia is an initiatory process of inspiration. We are literally children of inspiration, the children of Sophia.

In Joseph's book 'The Way of Inspiration' he gives us a very deep study on the process of creation through looking in detail at the Tiwa words for the numbers one thru ten. The translations of some of these numbers have very interesting and mysterious meanings. So much so that at the surface their meaning can be difficult to comprehend. But starting with the Tiwa number one we can see the story of Sophia/Gaia and our own story mapped out according to the archetype of the sacred journey of inspiration.

In Tiwa the number one is 'weh-mu' and it means to slip. The first step in the mythic journey of inspiration is to slip. But at first glance this can seem very strange. How can slipping be the start of the mythic journey? By looking at the myth of the Sophia we have an example of the process of inspiration that we can comprehend.

Sophia and the Christos were in the spiritual realm of the aeons positioned at the center of the Milky Way. Sophia and the Christos are there to help generate a new being who embodies a combination of the divine principles named the Anthropos. Aeons would dance together to bring their specific engeries forward in the act of creation. Sophia became so entranced by the vision of the Anthropos that her love, even passion, to see and understand the Anthropos inspires her in a way that she 'slips'. She is drawn by her desire out of her natural place at the center of the galaxy and falls into matter. (Joseph even says in 'The Way of Inspiration' that symbolically falling energy is feminine.) As an aeon Sophia knew only subtle polarities. But once Sophia's mythic journey has begun she moves, falls, into denser polarities so crystallized that she appears to be literally separated from everything else and becomes Gaia, the Earth.

In Tiwa the number 'two' is 'weh-seh' and it means the power to cry. Sophia, now Gaia, becomes self-reflective and realizes she is now trapped in matter. And she does not, by herself, have the power to do much about it. In the tradition of the Telestae once Sophia, now Gaia, having realized what happened to her begins to weep. And Gaia's cry is heard by her partner the Christos and all of the aeons in the realm called the pleroma. And the response to Gaia's cry is embodied in the number three.

In Tiwa the number 'three' is 'paah-chu' and it means movement. Sophia/Gaia began moving within her self. Gaia begins her movement and that movement actives the life-zone around her. And through time a myriad of different beings are produced on the Earth. Gaia is moving and giving of her own life. And this give away produces living beings. Gaia ultimately produces a being who is capable of self-reflexive awareness and of understanding Gaia's plight. This being is a form of the Anthropos that she first saw as Sophia. And this being is all of us.

The native people say that the Earth is a living being and that we are children of the Earth. Gaias movement produces her many children and those children have manifested to also dance with her. And Gaia's cries for help also produces a response, a movement from the Christos. So that the Christos came and also gave of his gift of annointing to the Gaiasphere.

The function of the aeons is also related to the Tiwa number 'four' which is 'wiii'. Wiii means the power to ascend. Sophia/Gaia, having nurtured and gestated within and upon herself humanity is now moving. If you know anything about the stories of the life of Jesus as the Christ then you know that one of the central events in these stories is the ascension of Jesus. The story of Jesus' ascension is a picture of the transformation that Gaia and her children are preparing to undergo.

Through our movement, especially sacred dances such as Joseph Rael has given us, we assist both Sophia/Gaia and ourselves to move beyond our current state. Many people are talking about ascension. But ascension, if it is to occur, requires movement beyond the perceived dualities of this world. Sacred dance, sacred movement, becomes a 'cause' and the 'effect' is ascension. In sacred dance we ascend into the resonances and realities of all that is sacred and mythic.

Ascending means to move up. You need to let go in order to go up. So ascending at number 'four' also implies a give away. Imagine you have a hot air balloon but it won't lift off. In order to ascend you have to give away some weight, some ballast, and in so doing you can start to rise.

We can understand why after Joseph's dances, and the dances of other peoples, there is always afterward a give-away of gifts. Three is always followed by four. The effort put forth through the movement of the dance reaches it purpose through the give-aways following the dances. To ascend we need movement and also to drop our concepts and our egos. We have to be willing to give up our ideas of who we are as seperate beings and nations in order get to a better condition or place.

During my second Sun Moon dance the majority of vision time was around the theme of the being of Gaia, the Earth. I saw how Gaia's eyes are open and she is beginning to move. She is getting ready to change, perhaps even to ascend. But she has been doing her movements very carefully, very lovingly. Gaia is waiting for us to align ourselves. Like a mother carrying many children Gaia is patiently waiting for some number of us to come to a level of maturity. But she is not going to wait forever.

When we align ourselves to Gaia, through sacred ceremony, prayers, and especially movement, through the sacred dancing, we assist ourselves and Gaia in coming nearer to the point of transformation. Our prayers, ceremony, and dances give Gaia energy and show her we are becoming ready. These good feelings and actions towards the Earth help all of us to become ready.

The way of the dances is the way of transformation. If you have done one of Joseph's dances you probably realize that there is not a singular personal transformation. What you gain by dancing is not 'yours'. The benefits and trasmformation from your effort affects every being, every person. And if you have not danced then please consider that the message here is part of a vision given through these dances. Gaia is waiting for us to dance.

Folding Time & Space: The View Of The Mythic

In the novel and movies 'Dune' it is the highly evolved, and strange looking, future humans called 'Navigators' who are able to fold space and transport ships instantly anywhere in the known universe. In Star Trek 'The Next Generation' it is Lieutenant Barkley who in 'The Nth Degree' with the aid of the Cytherians and advanced mechanics transport the Enterprise instantly across the galaxy. Stories abound of mystics who are able to transport themselves at will to distant lands.

In today's discussions among those who seek to become either mystics or enlightened there is a lot of talk about the ego versus the self. (I assume that the reader is one who is not just a follower in a mainstream religion but someone who has realized and can describe the difference between religion and spirituality.) Scores of gurus and teachers use a range of vocabularies and techniques to try and describe the indescribable bliss of 'enlightenment'. After studying this subject for decades and having varieties of experience including non-dual Samadhi. I am reaching the conclusion that the spiritual direction of the inner search, at least as it has formed in the West, is aiming at the wrong target. Let me explain.

If I could meld together at least the perceived goal of many spiritual seekers it would be something like silencing the mind and dwelling in pure awareness. The ability to, at least partially, realign ones sense of self away from the egoic self to the larger being of Self. Superficially I could make a strong case that this is a common theme to many types of spiritual pursuit including many forms of yoga, meditation, and other parlances and wares of most gurus and devout seekers. The Sufi's call this ability to perceive life and being with eyes closed 'awakening beyond life'. But even awakening beyond life is not the goal. There is far more to the potential of the human being.

Here I will borrow from my friend the Tiwa/Ute mystic Joseph Rael. In the Tiwa world view the numbers from one to ten contain the mystic truths of creation. These include the words 'weh-mu', 'weh-seh', and 'paah-chu' as the numbers one, two, and three. But there are also fundamental phases which accompany these first three numbers which are called 'Wah' or breath, 'Mah' or matter, and 'Chi' or movement. These words present a progression from being through manifestation and into movement, or connectedness.

Starting with the first stage, the spiritual 'one', we have the divine breath, the Wah, which is the foundation of all things. The human experience of this reality would be the nameless and formless state of Samadhi. From my observation most spiritual teachers and aspirants just want to be swallowed up in Samadhi, to be totally one with God, Spirit, The Great Being. However there is a problem with this. There is no thing, no color, no form, no experience in Samadhi besides just being. It is like a dark realm. You can't see anything or do anything. Not that you need to do anything. But the Spirit itself was not content with just staying at One. The proof of that is that conscious beings like us have manifested. Inside the Great Being was an intention to experience itself, to know itself. And this takes us to the number two.

At the number two we have manifestation. This realm is named ‘Mah’ in Tiwa. Here we experience name and form. Many teachers are trying to help us get beyond name and form. Name and form is the world manifested as a set of polarities but not dualities. The beginning of the Bible starts with the dualism of two trees, a tree of one (Life), and a tree of two (Good and Evil). Duality is a misapplied term in spiritual circles because it implies a strong opposition of forces. In a dualistic view light is seen as being against darkness. This view in particular led to the formation of Zoroastrianism and was later echoed in the Judaic movements such as the Essenes and Zadikian and as good and evil as absorbed into the descendant Abrahamic religions. But light is not the enemy of darkness but its compliment. Those who study advanced hermetics learn that all realms are spectrum of energy. One degree or level of light appears dim to the level 'above' it and bright to the level 'below' it.

We can view two, name and form, as the opposition of number one the realm of Being. Most Eastern religions seek to go beyond the two and return to the experience of the one. In many ways the heaven of the West is the Nirvana or Samadhi of the East. But one thing I have realized is that regardless of the flavor or viewpoint of most systems is that they do not have a container to make it past duality. Overlooking duality and seeking 'unity' is a common goal. But many systems want to return solely to the One. And this goal of returning to the One can still be an egoic pursuit if it is something you want to experience for yourself regardless of what happens elsewhere in the world.

In the development of number it is clear that the path beyond two is to get to three. Creative Being having made it to two does not just fold in on itself and return to one. The party does not end just because the two looks separate and scarry. Otherwise the work of getting this far was just a failed experiment. It is moving forward to three that is the natural next step. And the world of the three is the world of the mythic.

You see in Tiwa cosmology the number three is motion. This realm in Tiwa is called 'Chi'. Chi is one Asian word for energy. And energy likes to move. You get past the stickiness of duality not by retreating back to one but by moving beyond two (name and form) by using movement itself. In Puebloan spirituality the human beings have two legs because we walk in a way that balances the forces or polarities of manifest nature. And we do the balancing literally by walking, by moving. And walking is a metaphor for the entire journey of human life. The purpose of the human life is to balance all that is around us. By being aware of the variety of human experience we carry a constantly beating heart, and constantly cycling breath, and a constantly changing frame of reference. And that sense of relatedness to everything through movement is what connects us to the realm of the mythic. For the realm of the mythic first connects and then, in advanced stages, folds and collapses space and time.

Imagine standing in front of a mirror and holding in your hands another mirror. And imagine that you can look into the mirrors and see the cascade of yourselves stretching into infinity. Next to each of you is another you. And that other you is standing in relationship to the other 'you' to the left and to the right of the next 'you'. The Mayan 'In Lakesh' literally 'Another as myself' brings the relatedness of being into named reality. At number three the power of motion reinforces the relatedness of everything to everything else. Because you are moving and changing your perspective and location in space and time. You stand here, then you stand there. And at each place you stand you are connecting with your 'selves'. And if you are awake then you realize that at each step you are in the center of the medicine wheel. This dynamic, moving, relatedness is a snapshot of the mythic world because you are in all places and all times at once. You bring up unity from one, and expression through placement at two, and merge them into the dynamic composite at three. This field of allness in motion, of all potential possibilities at hand, is the world of the mythic powers of the universe.

In the West we have become entranced by an external salvinator. In the East is it slighly better because the salvation or goal is an inner mental or trans-mental state. But the outer world can bee seen as having no purpose nor use beyond lessons of the two-ness of life if we do not move to three.

In the classic views of reincarnation there is a potentially endless re-cycling between the polarities of life and death. But even if there is a cosmic university progressing many souls through countless lifetimes my impression is that if this changing of modes is all there is after a few hundred thousand or million years we would get tired of this. There is only so much you can learn by flipping a binary switch. It feels like switching from some kind of Samadhi-like unity at death back to this life is like trying to find the middle way from two extremes. It's like trying to drive down the road by first moving left and then right when what you really want to do is move forward. And maybe that is the way we had to 'progess' for so long until we were ready for the next step. To step into the mythic.

So that's why, at this time around the interest, and yes hype, of 2012 it feels like some qualitative change is happening. And this change is wrapped up in the movement from two to three. We are poised to take up our full potential as expressions of life. In venturing forward beyond just the realm of the mental or material into the mythic dimension of relatedness to all life. And we get there through the movement at three.

If we study nature we can see not a realm of competition or 'survival of the fittest' but a web of complex interconnectedness and mutual dependencies that is always in motion. Nascent in all the relationships of nature are glimmers of the motion of life waiting for the humans to move from two to three. The Lakota saying 'Mitakuye Oyasin' is a shimmer from the world of three back into this world. It is in recognizing all our relationships in three and moving into mythic space that the goal of creation, if there is one, moves forward.

So at number three movement is not for the purpose of just moving or just overcoming polarity. The movement at three is to re-form and re-mix the polarities into a moving and living dynamism. Three is the next step in the evolution of being through motion. And what occurs within this motion is both a transcendence of the perception of time and space and their joining within each other and with each other. The world at three is a unity but not a sole unity. Like all life on Earth, at three we experience a complex ever-changing harmony. And each living being forms another note in the Gaian symphony. The person functioning at three is a catalyst, integrator, and a resonator. They are someone who joins East and West, above and below, black and white, and they do this through movement. And what occurs at this level of the Dream Time are the acts of the mytic dreamers and heros.

As an example a dancer at one of Josephs dances becomes the ancient dancer who stands in the resonanting field of myth. The dancer, the Peace Caller, who enters ceremony (especially when they also forego food and water) enters mythic time and becomes in that space/time the resonance and envoy, even embodiment of the great mythological characters. The dancer merges with their past and future selves. And they merge with the harmonics of the life bringers from the mythology of all cultures and beliefs. The resonances of White Buffalo Calf Woman, White Tara, Blue Corn Maiden, the Mayan Hero Twins, the Chinese Xians, and all of the great beings are manifested during the movement of three. Carrying awareness at three the human being becomes the mythic dancer, the mythic dreamer.

The lineage of the Sufi poet Rumi, the Mevlevi, or the 'Whirling Dervishes', are also masters at entering this mythic real. Similar dances such as 'The Dances Of Universal Peace' touch upon many of these resonances. Ancient folk and tribal dances helped keep the consciousness of humanity moving foward by appliying the principle of Chi, energy in motion.

In Sufi circles this ability to merge the inner knowing of one with the awarness of polarities and advance to three is called 'awakening in life'. By awakening in life we bring the inner gold of one and the outer name and form of two and merge them into the divinizing process. And this awareness is the awareness expressed in motion both inner and outer.

The realization of the being who can merge and advance to three is one who uses movement to transcend, even compliscend, the qualities of one and two. And one who can step forward to dance with all the beings on the planet is one who has entered the mythic space time. The mythic which three brings you into is another level in the development of being trying to express and experience itself as the human being.

Once you step into motion what happends? After three is four. In the Tiwa language the number four is 'wiii' and it means ascending. Maybe some of the 2012 talk might be true.

Cristofori's Dissonance

I remember vividly in the late 1980's sitting in a terminal at Boston Logan Airport listening to a Sony Walkman playing a cassette tape of Cristofori's Dream by David Lanz. The liner notes told the compelling story of Bartolomeo Cristofori who invented the piano. In the notes David waxes poetic, nay more mythic, in claiming he cannot imagine a world without the piano. I admit that at the time the sheer innocence and brilliance of that album did awaken deep stirrings of being within me. It would be two decades later before I realized that Cristofori's gift brings a mixed blessing to the world.

You see in order to make the natural notes of the scale 'fit' into the mechanics of the piano those notes were artificially adjusted or 'tempered'. These adjustments in the flats and sharps to allow the piano to produce harmonically, but not naturally, identical notes across various octaves became the foundation for Western music. All other cultures based their musical systems, as did Europe before the piano, on natural or 'just' intonation. The brilliant vibrational scientist Hermann Helholtz ('The Sensations of Tone') would decry that the effects of tempered tuning harmed the natural qualities of music both instrumental and vocal.

The more natural 'just', or 'open' tuning, divides the musical scale according to the natural overtones and produces an effect called 'tonal color'. The modern tuning introduced with the piano intentionally suppresses overtones in order to produce conformity of sound across the octaves on the keyboard. Anyone who has experienced the mystical nature of sound knows that the overtones provide the 'umph' or the gateway to exploring additional worlds. Examples of overtone musical instruments are most aboriginal instruments, the harmonium, Indian vina and tamboura, and most especially the Tibetan singing bowl. In fact the healing vortices created by a Tibetan singing bowl are created by a complex set of overtones supported by a complex mixture of metals. In contrast to these a piano is an artificial substratum of sound imposed by a set of mechanical constraints.

The piano is a product of the early industrial revolution where the power of the machine was transforming society. As an evident metaphor the piano is the manifestation of sound patterned after the dictates of machine rather than nature. The piano is a very pleasing instrument to listen to. I am not a piano-hater and do regret not learning how to play it. I am trying to draw your attention to some problems with the tuning system resulting from mechanics constraining nature.

So with all of the beauty and emotion that a piano can produce it is doing so based on an artificial set of notes. And beyond the piano all of Western tempered music is giving us sour with the sweet. If you ever wonder why it seems that Western society has cut itself off from the mystical dimension then leaving our sounds, our music, out of the discussion would miss one of the largest constributing factors. But the discursion into the atonal does not stop at the Western octaves. The base tuning of the Western octave is also un-natural.

Throughout most of Western musical history the normal tuning for the note 'A' was in the range of 427-430hz. This was in fact the range used by Mozart. Back 1184 in Italy Guiseppe Verdi attempted to institutionalize the note 'A' as being standardized at 432hz. Most operas have been composed for 'A' 432hz which is also called 'Verdi tuning'.

Folklore says that Joseph Goebbels pushed for this tuning to be changed to 440hz. Why? We cannot be sure. But the Nazi party was into the supernatural and generally not in humanities best interests. Suffice it to say that in the time since World War II 440hz has become the standard tuning pitch. And nearly every opera singer hates it because it is artifically just a little too high for the human voice.

In the past few years more and more alternative musicans have been retuning their music to 'A' at 432hz and have been reporting very positive results. The music tuned for 'A' at 432hz sounds more natural and generally produces positive phsychological effects. I was sceptical of these reports so went on the Internet and found samples of music at both A-440 and A-432. I can honestly say that the A-432 music sounds better, even happy, contrasted to the A-440 versions.

If you have paid attention to my previous posts you know I am very concerned with sound and the impact that all vibrations have upon us as a society and individually. My conclusions are that driven by modes of thinking in the West that are not based on nature that we have introduced an artificial set of tones in our music. These tones do not support our wellbeing nor our peace of mind. Given further studies in this area it could be that we are flooding ourselves with another set of subtly unnatural vibrations from most forms of music.

The concerns over A-440 are being registered by a growing community of people. Brian T Collins at http://www.omega432.com/ is one artist who is producing natural A-432 music. Youtube also has many samples to listen to. Sound artist Steve Roach http://steveroach.com/ also creates worlds of sound many of which support awareness through use of harmonics and overtones.

To the ancient masters of being it was and still is sound that a primary factor and gateway in accessing the transformative worlds. In order to achieve the great insights and become the best person they could the masters of sound had to be in alignment with nature and the natural. It is within nature that the divine has clothed itself. Attuning to the natural is attuning to the divine.

In the West we have become lost in thinking that the natural is the unrefined. We have been given the story of the Potter from Eden and believe we are the Potterettes. We too must take the base element of Nature and make it better. (But that is only one way to look at the legend of Eden.) This has grown unnaturally into a belief in the myth of linear evolution. The unfolding of being into and through matter is a dynamic cyclic, if not spiral. process. The elegance of nature is the product of millions of years of the unfolding of being. The more we distance ourselves from nature and the natural the more we digress.

I encourage you to pay attention to the sounds in your life. Take a listen to the A-432hz music and see if they have a positive effect on you. And if you can't find music that supports you then make your own music. For in fact you are the music of life dancing in grace.

A Peace Caller

Having slogged through history in the previous blog entry I want to introduce to you the concept of the Peace Callers. A Peace Caller is one who is aware of vibration and able to navigate the straights of 2012. The Peace Callers are those who understand that the process of creation is both a historically long process and yet a vibrationally instanteneous one. Those who follow evolution have heard of the theory of Punctuated equilibrium. The human species is at the bifurcation point of perhaps 'the' greatest punctuation mark we have ever experienced. We are not talking about just going green or consuming less. We are talking about alignment with the fundamental processes of life and being in the universe. A Peace Caller is one form of midwifery in this process.

A Peace Caller may be a healer, may hold an ordinary job, may be an activist, but those activities alone are not the most essential things that make a Peace Caller. A Peace Caller is someone who works with vibration and sound in order to enter into this complex set of vibrations we have created in the world and to affect it, to change it.

The Peace Chambers that Joseph Rael has helped to create are a core tool of the Peace Caller. Individual acts of prayer and chanting by Peace Callers are important. But the core vision of the 'Peace Callers' is plural. Many human beings holding sacred space together with the intention to heal and uplift the vibration of all of humanity and all species on the Earth is central to the vision and being of the Peace Callers. The dances that Joseph has given us are amoung the most valuable tools in preparing a Peace Caller to perform her/his literal calling.

For anyone who considers themselves to be a lightworker or earth healer or just a caring human being I invite you to also consider yourself a Peace Caller. Be that one who's actions evoke peace from both inside yourself and those around you.

We are not here to do the heavy lifting by ourselves. Without help from higher dimensions of Love we cannot nagivate these straights. But we also will have more trouble if we do not show up to this taskof peace and call peace foward.

By calling for Peace I mean that in every way as a lifestyle. It could be calling your elected representatives or your mother or child and making civic or personal peace. And at every step there should be an inner time for you to visualize the images of healing and peace you would like to see in the world. And then to support that divine image and give it life by using sound. Your prayerful intention sent to either a verbal thanks or prayer is very powerful. You are plugging into the web of vibration and you are changing it. Your vibration, your intention, your words, your sound, affects the entire web of life.

If you feel like doing some of the deeper work then leave the words behind. You can try using a mantra like 'Om Mani Padme Hung' (the jewel is in the lotus). Or you can use the very powerful method of leaving any meaning behind and use the five vowel sounds. Any of Joseph Rael's books can give you insight into these vowel sounds. They are very ancient, very powerful, and have been used by healers and medicine people in all cultures throughout all time.

Many people have also had profoundly transformational experiences learning how to play the frame drum. You don't have to be a musican or even play complicated beats. There is something about the drum and nearly every earth-based culture makes heavy use of the drum in ceremonial contexts and for most celebrations of life. Layne Redmond is one person who have devoted her considerable talents in teaching others to drum.http://www.myspace.com/layneredmond. Many community and neigborhood groups have regular drumming circles. You will find that working with a drum will help heal and regulate your own rhythm in supporting healing and a sense of inner and outer peace.

Ultimately your realization should be that you are calling peace into and out of yourself first. Truly, based on my experiences, your outer world will change as your inner world is transformed. Make sure you have removed the beam from your own eye first. Then your words, spoken in peace, and with power, will unfold a renewed world around you.

The world of peace, the post-2012 world, whatever you want to call it, is already here. Your intention and actions for peace does not so much change the world as to change what you see of it. The world is already healed never was not healed not really. It's just we have tuned into a set of vibrations that are covering the truth. Being a Peace Caller is to be peace within and to watch it unfold without.

Prologue To The Vision Of The Peace Callers

'Nada Brahma' the world is composed of sound, or vibration. This is an ancient saying from the Hindu lineage. Science, through quantum physics, is finally catching up to the ancient mystics in understanding the vibratory nature of the universe.

In his book 'The Way of Inspiration' Joseph Rael uses the metaphors in the meanings of the numbers one through ten to illustrate how being (at the number one) moves into manifestation through the sequence of numbers. Joseph is informed both by his native heritage in the Tiwa language and his personal visonary experiences. In my own experience at my first Sun Moon Dance and immediately after in the Swannanoa Peace Chamber I also experienced visions of this process of creation which is occurring in every instant of an instant of time.

We have become entrenched in materialism to the point that we have lost touch with the natural, subtle, and vibrational qualities of life. We make the artificial and 'patented' 'legal' and natural things and processes like plants and midwifery illegal. We have arrived at a dead-end worldview largely out of harmony with the basic and natural processes of creation. As a society over the past fifty years we have become aware of how our use of chemicals has had profound impacts on the environment and our quality of life. On a product by product basis it may take years, decades, or generations for us to have our new installments of Silent Spring. At this time we need to have an abrupt awakening regarding our use of vibration and sound. Because the power of vibration is behind everything that is going on.

Harkening back to 'Nada Brahma', your world, our world, is a composite of all the vibrations that we are currently producing. In the 1970's studies first starting showing the correlation between different forms of music and their effects on plant growth. Graphic images of the effects of vibration are beached whales who have been subjected to strong sonar waves by the navies of the world. These days most children are taught not to put motor oil or pollutants down the storm drains because this turns into our waters and drinking water. But do you stop to consider that nearly every convenience, every mechanized yard gadget in the kitchen and garage, has a vibrational impact on you, your home, and the environment? The vibrations of everything we use from automobiles, motorcycles, chain saws, weedwackers, cellphones, computers, WIFI, SONAR, RADAR, HAARP, quartz watches, bluetooth, and fluorescent lights are all feeding into a symphony, or cacaphony, of vibration composing our world. It would not take much research to understand that most of our modern vibrations are more detrimental than helpful.

Every single age and empire has been composed of a specific set of vibrations. The primary European vibration since the Renaissance is one of mechanization. When this vibration, brought with the Conquistidors to the 'New World', encountered the indigineous peoples of the Americas a dissonance, or clash, of vibrations occurred. The primary concept behind mechanization is the cognitive speeding up of time beyond what is natural. With the advent of automobiles and electronics we have propelled ourselves on a rollercoaster of vibrations forming temporal anomalies which is overclocking both our souls and the environment. (Dr. Ibrahim Karim who invented BioGeometry® has many novel ways of transmuting these artificial electromagnetic vibrations around us.)

I call this period of reorientation before us in the Mayan calendar as 'The Straits of 2012'. This is a time when we have to decide what is it that we human beings are all about. The old myth of linear progress is decaying in front of us. Not that we are faced with oblivion. But we must decide to stop playing games with that which is artficial and based on the pyramid of cards where something is based on nothing. Basing success on profit and profit in turn on subtle forms of exploitation or the false creation of need is inhuman. We cannot base systems of value on the whimsical nature of markets where 'value' (stock price) can change instantly based on fear, speculation, greed, or hearsay. (And I'm not talking about any political system either. When we have advanced far enough to realize every individual carries their own truth then we are in the vision that is behind the song 'Imagine'.)

Real value is presented before us in the forms of life on the earth. The earth has literally invested thousands, millions, and billions of years getting us to the diversity and symbiotic relationships of life that we are currently decimating on the planet. Real value is also carried in the cultures with very long traditions who's ways of life have been proven over generations. In the West we are infants walking around with dangerous forms of technology because we have no frame of reference to a true relationship with the earth. A truly 'human' being is one who can nuture rather than thoughtlessly exploit the other forms of life around us. Successfully navigating the straights of 2012 requires, even comes close to demanding, that we tune back into gentle and subtle forms of being and vibration.

Dances Of Transformation

When I first think of 'Dance of Transformation' I am reminded of an image I saw on Bede Griffiths website years ago. It was an image of Shiva as the divine dancer Nataraj. Nataraj is the expression of the divine spirit in motion as dancing to enliven consciousness and triumph over the inertia of both ignorance and form. I had seen this image before but somehow in Bedes vernacular he combined and yet overcame the limits of understanding of any one spiritual view. With that image and Bede's words the power of Nataraj became real to me.

It was about this same time in my life that I had been reading the writings of mystic Joseph Rael who's native name translated into English is Beautiful Painted Arrow. For years across the late 1990's and early 2000's I had been delving deeply into his works. Of all the spiritual teachers I knew of it has been Joseph Rael and Hazrat Inayat Khan who have really spoken the most deeply to me.

To my great fortune Joseph was visiting the Center For Peace in Seymour Tennessee in February 2008. It was my chance to meet someone I held in high esteem so of course I made use of the opportunity. During a private conversation with Joseph he inquired if I had heard of his dances. I said I knew something about them but had not participated. The moment he started talking about the dances a transmission was occurring. There was a strong sense of energy coming from Joseph and yet from beyond him. It was a classic moment from an unfolding spiritual adventure. Through his speaking and non-speaking a kind of deep message had been recognized in my soul and I knew I had to respond.

In Summer of 2008 I underwent my first Sun Moon dance at the Swannanoa, North Carolina, Peace Chamber under the leadership of Zoe Bryant. The experience of sacred dance, with no food or water, within the container of sacred ceremony was highly transformational for me. I felt connected to a strong sense of purpose going into the dance. During the dance I was initiated into the nuances of being and vibration as layers of the metaphors of light and perception opened to my understanding. After the dance I spent time in the Peace Chamber and was given futher realizations through the chants that I was given. It was through the combined experience within the dance arbor and the Peace Chamber that I felt I had begun to enter into the understanding of Joseph and the ancient masters of being. I was also given a vision to create a CD based on the primary vision of creation that I was shown through this process.

The rest of 2008 and into 2009 I started working on 'Being and Vision' my first audio CD which describes the vision of the process of Spirit manifesting into creation I had seen during my dance. Though I had a strong understanding of the material I realized that I had to be as clear as possible in communicating to my listeners. Even though I had posted dozens of video talks on youtube as Inayat2012 I realized the breadth of this material would require a written script to follow word for word. Finally, in late Spring of 2009, 'Being and Vision' became a reality. And with that my second Sun Moon dance was on the horizon in a few months.

My second Sun Moon dance experience went beyond understanding the templates of being, creation, and vision. Within a foundation of the understanding of the process of 'becoming' there was now solid new information coming through. From the morning of the second day I was in vision communicating with Spirit. I was being shown visions and insights regarding the Being of the Earth. I settled into an internal 'dance' with Spirit. We had formed a hidden activity in a layer beyond my outward dance. While I was dancing on the outside on the inside Spirit and the Earth were communing with me. We danced into a rhythm where Spirit would shine, I would receive and allow the images to shine into me, and then I would respond with something like 'OK, what else do I need to know'. This inner conversation, this dance of light, went on all of the remainder of the second day. How many seeds of light were sown into me and all of humanity during the dance were beyond measure.

Into the third day I realized that the amount of information I had received was enough. My physical body could have kept going if only through the support of Spirit within the ceremony. And that is one of the very important lessons that I learned. In sacred ceremony you are supported by Spirit and the people who are intentionally supporting you. You can journey with Spirit while your body is supported. You can even journey beyond your physical limits within this safe Sacred container. But when you come out of ceremony you have to really pay attention to what your body needs.

So my dance ended on the third day. After coming 'back' through resting, rehydrating, and taking some light food I started to reintegrate. But I also realized that as my energy level had been raised that I was carrying something inside of me that no longer served.

The shamans of the Amazon use many plants to purify the body and soul. Among these are Ayahuasca which along with it's visionary gifts is also know for purging the body of old energies. That purging can occur by releasing 'energy' out of either end of you. The Amazonian shamans also use specific plants brewing them into a non-visionary tea to be consumed for purification (aka 'purging'). One type of purification brew is clear whitish in color. The plant this is from the Amazon is a very powerful healer. No other plants grow close to this one as it rises up from the muck. For healing with this tea you basically drink alot of it. You drink more and more and more. And it really works. It grabs onto whatever is holding you down energetically. And like an eagle with wings clutching it's energetic prey it wants to rise back out of your stomach the way it came. And with it's arising you bring up that which you need to release. And what a release it is. I experienced this tea first hand in Peru and can attest to it's efficacy.

After my 2nd Sun Moon dance I did not have the Amazonian clear white tea but I did have seltzer water. I knew what I had to do and calmly made my way to do it. It only took a little filling of my stomach for me to have my release. And what a powerful release it was. I will spare you the details and the sounds that cannot be written into words. Let's just say healings can occur in many different ways. This act of physical, even graphic release, fit in with my theme of going to the Sun Moon dance. The theme for this year was surrender. I surrendered alot.

You see the day before I left for the dance there was a layoff at my work. Many of the people affected were folks I worked with closely on a daily basis. I was thankful I was not one of those layed off. But it was close enough to make me face the prospect of such a thing and to fully understand that I, and we, all walk according to the provisions of Grace around us. I felt that I was no longer really in 'control' of my life. So I came to an orientation of facing life in terms of surrendering to the larger wisdom around me. This was my 'theme' going into the dance and it became a metaphor for the release I physically enacted at the end.

I now realize that, at least in part, the layoffs occured as my outer world rearranged itself in advance of my long weekend dance of transformation. After the entire experience I feel much clearer and integrated than I can ever remember. There is a strong feeling of joy at new potential possibilities (a favorite moniker of Joseph's) in my life. And there has been so much release inwardly and outwardly. Bags of old clothes went to the local thrift shop. We finally filled up both the recycle container and garbage container in the same week. And I encourage you when you feel a mysterious sense of grief. If you are cutting connections in your life to things that no longer serve you one of the ways that we feel a lightening is through a loss that can feel like grief. So this mixture of joyful possibility becomes the yang to the yin of the mild sense of loss or grief.

In retrospect I am amazed at the depth of spiritual work that occurs during such a ceremony as spiritual dance. I find myself even astonished that so much transformation is possible in a relatively short time span. And yet I realize that I had been in preparation for the dance for many months and in a sense for my entire life. I am deeply grateful for the spiritual support I received from family and friends during the dances themselves. This way of being that Joseph has gifted to us is very important and deserves a growing audience of those willing to step into the Dances of Transformation.

So now when I think about Shiva as the sacred dancer Nataraj I have a deeper understanding. Through the dances I see the sacred metaphors around me depicting not objective facts but subjective inner truths. I am reminded that each of us can be Shiva recreating and healing our lives and all beings. All it takes is for us to enter the dance.

If you do not know about Joseph then you should check out www.josephrael.org. Better yet get a copy of Being and Vibration. If you have read Being and Vibration then Joseph has a new book called Sound which is a very deep and amazing magnum opus of how to live closely with Spirit.
